Autumn can also mean the return of those nasty, taxing "common colds". Here are "11 surprising immune-system killers". While some of these might seem a little far-fetched, I thought it couldn't hurt to consider them. Additionally, you've seen some of these pop up on other lists, so this is just more reason to avoid them all together!
1. Microwavable Popcorn 7. Sugar (duh)

Another fall / winter plague is how the weather can impact our skin. Here are "11 fruits and vegetables for better skin". Notice that some are repeated from the first list above! And even better than that, is that many of these are coming in season now or will be in season throughout the winter, which means they'll be plentiful at your super market (and maybe even cheaper)!
1. Red Bell Peppers
2. Avocados (winter)
3. Beets (fall)
4. Spinach
5. Blueberries
6. Pomegranate (winter)
7. Sweet Potatoes (fall)
8. Apples (fall)
9. Tomatoes
10. Carrots
11. Pumpkin (fall)
This is personally my favorite time of year. Even though the days are getting shorter and winter is imminent, when those leaves change, the nights cool off, and the smell of a campfire hits the crisp air, I'm just in heaven. So prepare yourself with some tips above and enjoy these cooler months!
sad to not see red wine on any list above. It's one of my fall favorites (or anytime of year favorites)!
